WATCH: Back to the City a hip-hop success
JOHANNESBURG – Check out what you missed at Back to the City
The much-anticipated 10th year anniversary of Back to the City has come and gone, and it was undoubtedly a hip-hop success.
Freedom Day, 27 April, was a day that not only signified an important occurrence in history, but also a day to celebrate 10 years of Africa’s biggest hip-hop music and dance festival.
Held in Newtown’s Mary Fitzgerald Square, the festival kicked off at 11am and visitors were treated to some emcee magic, break dancers and b-boys, floor-shaking DJs and a ton of live local and international performances – which did not include AKA, of course.
