Celebrities give their wins to a charity of their choice
JOBURG - Celebs coin it for charity.
Sore fingers and aching arms saw celebrities battling one another in the Montecasino Slots Chase celeb tournament.
The celebrities were tasked with playing the slot machines and the one with the highest score, which was then converted to money, donated it to a charity of their choice.
Each of the 12 celebs who participated was automatically awarded R1 000 to donate to their charity and the participants went head-to-head for the big charity prize of R5 000. El Broide, a music blogger, was the victor of the tournament, and he chose to donate his R6 000 to Pet Empowerment in Townships (Pets).
A close second was actor and TV presenter, Lee-Roy Wright, who won R3 500. Wright donated his winnings to Kitty and Puppy Haven in Midrand.
