A lovely jazzy Sunday at Snatch32

PARKTOWN NORTH – PJ Powers performs at Snatch32 and wows fans.

South African pop singer PJ Powers left her fans longing for more songs after performing more than 10 of her coolest jams at Snatch32 Champagne Bar.

By the time she was ready to leave the stage at the end of the performance, fans demanded she sings more songs, including her classic hit, Jabulani. With not much choice, fans saw the musicians returning to the stage.

Each time she belted out a song, she told a story of how it came about and what was happening in her life at the time.

“It was my first time performing in this venue and for me, I’m used to a bigger audience so I have been testing myself to do more of intimate events. It is quite intimidating because you look people in their eyes but I loved it and the audience’s response was amazing too,” said PJ Powers.

Snatch32 owner, Rory Sandilands said he called PJ Powers to perform because he wants to bring balance to his place. “I just wanted people to enjoy music and their glasses of wine.

“We do jazz sessions every Sunday and PJ Powers’ story was just the one I wanted to tell right here.”

It’s impressive that even after more than 25 years in the industry, she still never runs out of new material to deliver to her audience and still entertains.
