Police arrest alleged Hurlingham door thieves
KENSINGTON B – Homeowner wakes up one morning to find his storeroom doors stolen. Police arrest suspects.
Randburg police have arrested two men who are expected to appear briefly in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court to face charges of housebreaking and theft.
Randburg police spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja explained that the male victim went to sleep at his Hurlingham home with everything in order at about 22:00.
“The next day when he woke up he realised that his storeroom had been broken into and doors were stolen,” Maja said.
He added that the victim was informed by community members that they had seen suspicious-looking men carrying doors. The police were called, and the suspects were traced and arrested.
