β€œIt was a good operation because we managed to share the awareness with our people. We are mostly targeting areas where we are experiencing the most GBV cases, especially with the festive season approaching we have to make sure that we play our part by informing people about it. Everyone is affected whether you are young, old, rich or poor we are all affected by this social issue,” said Warrant Officer Rama Trevor.

Govender briefly shared her experience of the operation at the centre, β€œA lot of people were very curious as to why we are here and then when we handed them the pamphlets, they were interested in knowing more. The majority asked if they could report this to the officials, to their surprise Warrant Officer Rama informed them that there is a special unit mainly focused on crime.”
