According to the organiser and head of music at the school Martinette Ronquest, the rationale behind this concert was to provide a platform for their music staff to collaborate as musicians and to model performance to their learners.

“It is also an event for our Brescia House School community to come together and enjoy music together and have supper together.”

Gail Jacobs and Janet van Nierop play a classical guitar duet.

She added the programme showcased the quality and versatility of the music staff to represent their logo.

“The event featured classical pieces as well as jazz and more contemporary works. It becomes a joyous occasion where staff present solos but also pair up to play duets, trios, and bigger ensembles.”

Ronquest concluded by stating the musicians presented works of the highest quality and also pushed their comfort zones to try new and different styles on their instruments.
