Brescia House School Music Institute hosts annual concert
With beats and melodies, the school concert transforms the school hall into a musical wonderland.
The Brescia House School Music Institute hosted its annual concert where all the music staff performed.
This has become known as The Jam and Jam Session, as it is paired with supper.
According to the organiser and head of music at the school Martinette Ronquest, the rationale behind this concert was to provide a platform for their music staff to collaborate as musicians and to model performance to their learners.
“It is also an event for our Brescia House School community to come together and enjoy music together and have supper together.”
She added the programme showcased the quality and versatility of the music staff to represent their logo.
“The event featured classical pieces as well as jazz and more contemporary works. It becomes a joyous occasion where staff present solos but also pair up to play duets, trios, and bigger ensembles.”
Ronquest concluded by stating the musicians presented works of the highest quality and also pushed their comfort zones to try new and different styles on their instruments.
