Bryanston High School buzzed with excitement on February 14 as learners and staff came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a day filled with joy and fundraising for a good cause.

The Leadership in Action committee, composed of dedicated Grade 11 learners, spearheaded the event to raise funds to upgrade school facilities and support various charity communities.

The festivities kicked off with the sale and packing of Valentine’s goodies, which were then distributed early in the morning, building anticipation for the day’s main events. Learners were able to enjoy a day out of uniform by dressing in civvies and attending a Valentine’s assembly later in the day.

Teacher and event coordinator Gill Fulcher expressed her excitement about the success of the event. “It was wonderful to see the learner’s enthusiasm and their dedication to making this day special. Their hard work and the generosity of the Bryanston High community will make a real difference.”

Fulcher added the Valentine’s assembly was just one example of the many activities organised throughout the year at the school.

“Events such as the Valentine’s dinner and dance, the soccer day tournament, carnival day, the pageant, and the talent show are all part of what keeps the spirit of the school so vibrant. Love, friendship, and fun filled the air, reminding everyone of the strong sense of community that the school fosters.”
