Bryanston High School volleyball team falls short in match against Hoërskool Elspark
In a nail-biting showdown at the Goliath Cup volleyball tournament held at Bryanston High School, the school’s U19 boys team battled fiercely but ultimately succumbed to Hoërskool Elspark with a score of 2–1.

In a gripping contest that had spectators on the edge of their seats, the Bryanston High School U19 boys volleyball team faced off against Hoërskool Elspark U19 boys volleyball team at the recent Goliath Cup volleyball tournament held at the Bryanston High School gymnasium.
The match ended in a closely contested 1–2 loss for Bryanston, with intense rallies and remarkable skill displayed by both teams throughout.
Despite Bryanston’s best efforts, they were unable to secure the victory, primarily due to 12 service errors that proved costly in the tightly contested match.

Bryanston High volleyball coach Vivek Mangray acknowledged the setbacks but remained proud of his team’s performance. “It is back to the drawing board for Bryanston High School as we conceded too many service errors. But I am happy with how my boys played. They gave it their all, even though we couldn’t win the match.”

Hoërskool Elspark volleyball coach Hannes Snyman said the match started with Elspark taking the lead but Bryanston rallied back, levelling the score after a hard-fought second set.
“The match saw intense rallies, and both teams showcased incredible skill and determination. It could have gone either way after the second set, but we managed to regain momentum in the third set to take the match,” Snyman said.
