Protest march expected in Sandton

Motorists and residents in Sandton are advised to expect traffic disruptions today as a protest march is set to take place between 10:00 and 13:00.
According to the Gauteng Provincial Joint Operations Centre (JOC), demonstrators are expected to gather at George Lea Park before proceeding to the US Consulate at the corner of Sandton Drive and Rivonia Road.

Law enforcement officers will be on-site to monitor the march and manage any necessary road closures to ensure public safety.
The JOC has urged motorists to make use of alternative routes and to exercise caution when travelling through the area.
