Smiles all around as Bryanston Sports Club hosts Christmas treat for Kids Haven

Laughter, excitement, and the magic of Father Christmas filled Bryanston Sports Club this morning as the club hosted its beloved annual kiddies Christmas party, welcoming children from Kids Haven, alongside members’ children, for a day of fun, food, and festive generosity.

Bryanston Sports Club came alive with festive spirit on December 6, as it hosted its annual kiddies Christmas party.

It was an event dedicated to bringing joy to children from Kids Haven, as well as youngsters from the club community. This year’s celebration welcomed approximately 35 excited children to a morning packed with entertainment, delicious treats, and thoughtful surprises.

The day’s activities included an energetic jumping castle, an ice cream van serving sweet delights, and hearty meals shared among friends, volunteers, and families. The highlight, as always, was the arrival of Father Christmas, who made a grand entrance to hand out presents and spread holiday cheer.

Club chairperson Ian ‘Snowy’ Snowball expressed his delight at being part of this longstanding tradition.

“This is an annual Christmas party for the orphans of Kids Haven, but we also opened it to the members’ children as well. Today we’ve got, I think, 34 children.”

He added that the generosity of club members elevated this year’s event to something truly special. “We’re very privileged, because this year, for the first time, a number of the members raised money to buy extra presents.

They don’t know it yet, but when they leave, there’s a big bag of presents they’ll be taking back with them. We always want to give back to the community, and we will continue to support Kids Haven into the future as well.”

Mothive Sibanda, from Kids Haven, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the club’s continued commitment and kindness. “I would like to thank Bryanston Sports Club for everything they’ve done for our children. May God bless you.

“The children are enjoying themselves and are excited to be out of their comfort zone, to see people, and to receive fresh love and care. We really appreciate this initiative.”
