Michael Mount Waldorf School creates well-rounded young adults with Class of 2025 results
With a perfect pass rate and dozens of distinctions, Michael Mount Waldorf School’s Class of 2025 leaves behind a legacy of academic success and holistic education.
Michael Mount Waldorf School is celebrating another year of outstanding matric results, with the Class of 2025 achieving a 100% pass rate in the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) National Senior Certificate.
A total of 27 candidates wrote the 2025 matric examinations, with 23 learners securing Bachelor’s Degree passes, granting them access to university studies.

The results also reflect strong academic depth, with 26 outstanding achievements in the 80 to 100% range and a further 65 meritorious achievements between 70 and 79%.
Sixteen learners achieved at least one distinction, while 13 students attained an overall average above 70%.
Principal William Bester praised the class, not only for their academic performance, but for the people they have become through the Waldorf education journey.
“It gives me great joy to celebrate the achievements of our Michael Mount matric Class of 2025. While we are proud to have maintained our 100% pass rate, our purpose goes beyond guiding students towards a good matric. Our dynamic Waldorf curriculum nurtures each student so that they may go into the world as free human beings who can impart purpose and direction to their lives.”
Top achievers included Amy Taljaard, who obtained three distinctions. Learners who achieved two distinctions were Aarya Alex, Matthew Green, Emihle Mcambi, Maja Meiring, Kaden Olivier, Jade Snehota, Carina Vasconcellos, and Lusekelo ‘Rufaro’ Wanjelani.

Those earning one distinction were Andre ‘Zander’ Koldas, Zamazizi Mdlulwa, Shriya Naidoo, Ivan Patcha, Ariana Patricios, Madison Selling, and Senna Thompson-Viljoen.
Bester added that the school aims to develop resilient, creative, and independent thinkers, and that the 2025 results reflect this broader educational philosophy.
“We take this moment to celebrate not only academic success, but the well-rounded, confident, and passionate young adults our learners have become. I extend my sincere thanks to our teachers and parents, whose dedication has been instrumental in nurturing conscious individuals through dynamic education.”
