Looking to the future with some of Brescia House School’s top achievers for 2025
Brescia House School is celebrating an exceptional academic milestone as the Class of 2025 achieved a 100% pass rate and 100% Bachelor’s Degree pass, opening university doors for every matriculant.
Brescia House School is marking a moment of immense pride following the release of its 2025 Independent Examination Board (IEB) matric results, with the entire class achieving outstanding success.
The school recorded a 100% matric pass rate, alongside a 100% Bachelor’s Degree pass, enabling all 66 learners to pursue tertiary studies.
Speaking on the achievement, Brescia House High School head Loredana Borrella described the day as incredibly proud for the Brescia House community. “Our matric Class of 2025 did exceptionally well. All 66 girls now have the opportunity of venturing out into a tertiary course of study, and for that we are incredibly proud.”

Borrella highlighted that the journey was not without challenges, noting that many learners overcame personal struggles throughout the year. “It’s never an easy journey in matric, but what made this year so special was the steady improvement we saw. Many of the girls improved dramatically from the middle of the year to the end, and that perseverance is what I’m most proud of.”

She also praised the class’s ability to balance academics with a demanding extramural programme. “They were deeply involved in sport and cultural activities, yet they managed to keep everything together. Their results are truly remarkable.”
Looking ahead, Borrella shared advice for the Class of 2026. “Consistency is key. Don’t wait until the last minute. Every little step counts. Keep going, and know that we are here to support each and every one of you.”

Among the school’s top achievers was Neesa Ajoodha, the head girl of 2025, who earned an exceptional nine distinctions. Reflecting on the year, she described it as both demanding and rewarding. “2025 was a crazy year. It was exhausting, but it was also incredibly rewarding.”
Ajoodha credited her success to a strong support network at school and at home. “I had two amazing deputy head girls: Scarlett Krzychylkiewicz and Tanatswa Magwenzi, who supported me all the way, and academically and socially I felt really supported. My family, my mom, dad, and sister have been there for me throughout.”

She plans to study a BCom Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at the University of Cape Town. “I’m hoping to go to UCT, which is really exciting. Hopefully they take me.”
Another standout performer, Tanatswa, who achieved eight distinctions and served as deputy head girl, described her matric year as transformative. “If I had to describe 2025 in one word, it would be a roller coaster. It was the most trying school year I’ve had, but I came out the other side.”
Magwenzi echoed the importance of peer and family support, acknowledging fellow leaders and friends who helped her through difficult moments. “I had the greatest support system with Neesa, Scarlett, who also got seven distinctions, my friends, and my family. They were always there for me.”
She hopes to pursue actuarial science at UCT, continuing the tradition of academic excellence established at Brescia House.
