The Real City Makoti premieres in Bryanston, spotlighting modern marriage and tradition

Mzansi’s latest reality show, The Real City Makoti, officially launched in Bryanston, offering an intimate look at how five married women balance city life with deep-rooted cultural traditions.

The Real City Makoti officially premiered on January 27 at the Forum Campus in Bryanston, giving media, influencers and celebrities an exclusive first look at the show’s debut episode.

The series follows the lives of five married women navigating modern urban living while remaining closely connected to their cultural and rural roots.

Through their personal stories, The Real City Makoti explores the realities of being a contemporary makoti in South Africa, highlighting the balance between city energy, family traditions, cultural expectations and evolving definitions of marriage.
