Bryanston Sports Club bowlers ready to compete against the best at JBA 4s finals in Randburg
Bryanston Sports Club’s bowls greens buzzed with energy on January 31 as bowlers took to the greens for a friendly game while also preparing some bowlers for the 2026 Perfect Delivery JBA 4s semi-finals.
The practise took place during the club’s Tabs Day, a friendly game that brings the bowlers together every Saturday.
The club only have two teams remaining in the JBA 4s tournament. A ladies 4s and a men’s 4s both of whom have reached the semi finals.

On the day of the competition, Bryanston will be represented by ladies 4s, led by Julie Denyer and the men’s 4s, skipped by Victor Siphali.The club’s bowls section president Joanne Conrad said they are very excited to have two teams playing tomorrow.
“We have two teams playing tomorrow, the ladies 4s, and the men’s 4s. With the Springboks player, Victor Siphali, who is also our club’s member, going to be in the men’s team, I believe we can win this tournament.”

“Though the aim is to have fun and enjoy a tough competition among the best players, winning the JBA 4s finals will mean a lot to our club as well.”Siphali said he and his team are ready to compete against the best.
“We have come a long way to get to where we are today. The competition was very tough. You had to win the section first, a group of four teams, and we managed to do that.”
Now in the knockout phase, Siphali and his team’s goal is clear.

“We are now in the knockout stage, and we are looking forward to the competition. Winning the finals as a team will mean a lot to us and a benefit for our club as well,” Siphali said.
