Redhill School equestrian eyes growth in 2026 series

Inspired by her mother’s 43-year riding journey, Redhill learner Hannah Benjamin focuses on resilience, precision, and teamwork ahead of the 2026 Toyota Equestrian Series.

Inspired by her mother’s four decades in the saddle, Hannah Benjamin’s equestrian journey is rooted in passion and perseverance.

Growing up watching her mother ride shaped her outlook on the sport, and motivated her to carve out her own path. “She’s been riding for so long, and seeing her passion has motivated me to follow in her footsteps.”

This season, the Redhill School rider is focusing on showjumping, working to sharpen her technique and improve her precision on course. Her goals are clear, to refine her turns while maintaining straight, balanced approaches to jumps. “I hope to learn how to make sharper turns, but still stay straight to the jumps.”
Like many athletes, Hannah understands that progress does not come without challenges. She believes difficult days are part of the process. “You will have good and bad days, but you need the bad days before you can have the good.”

When training becomes demanding, Hannah leans on the guidance of her coach and the partnership she shares with her horse. Listening, adapting, and trusting the process keep her focused. Hannah believes in celebrating milestones along the way. A small gift and a full day spent at the yard mark her achievements, serving as both reward and motivation.
