Rocking Future Career Expo inspires Bryanston learners to dream big

The career day expo, aimed at helping scholars find their future careers, will feature niche farming, restauranteering, and professional musicianship as just a few of the careers on display.

The 2026 Rocking Future Career Expos Roadshow brought energy, motivation, and valuable career guidance to learners at The King’s College on May 15.

For the past 25 years, the Rocking Future Career Expos have helped South African school leavers explore study and career opportunities, while encouraging them to follow careers aligned with their passions, skills, and ambitions.

The initiative aims to address youth unemployment by connecting learners with educational institutions, expert advisors, and career resources designed to help them make informed decisions about their futures.

During the event, learners attended an interactive live show hosted by the Rocking Future team, featuring career guidance, motivational talks, and practical advice on preparing for life after school.

Learners also had the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from various private tertiary institutions exhibiting at the expo.

The free expo also treated learners to gifts from brand partners OXY and Playgirl/boy, creating an engaging and memorable experience for attendees.

In addition to the in-person expos, learners across the country can access career guidance through Swiwel, an immersive 3D online career platform offering information and support for students unable to attend the roadshows physically.

Organisers said the expos are focused on helping learners leave feeling inspired, informed, and excited about the possibilities that await them after matric.
