Constable Zacharia Lefenya of Sandton police said, “Monwabisi is wanted for fraud in Sandton, Empangeni, Hillbrow and Muldersdrift for similar crimes.”
According to police, Monwabisi allegedly fraudulently used IDs belonging to other people to purchase personal goods and open accounts at clothing stores.
“He is wanted in connection with the fraudulent purchasing of clothing at several stores in Johannesburg, Sandton and Pretoria since September last year until January this year. He was arrested, released on bail and later absconded. We believe he is still in Gauteng,” said Lefenya.
