Forever changed campaign on the road

SANDTON - Sandton resident, Addi Lang, is determined to motivate people around the world to make their own choices in life.

According to a cancer survivor, there are alternatives to chemotherapy and surgery for those diagnosed with the disease.

The Forever Changed campaign was started by Sandton resident, Addi Lang, after she became a ‘cancer warrior’.

The campaign is introduced and explained to attendees during an event called Dance of the Butterfly. The next Dance of the Butterfly event will be held on 28 May.

Lang described the campaign as a movement which is aimed at empowering others to make their own choices. “It has become a global warning,” she said. She explained that she aimed to spread her message all over the world. Lang feels so strongly about promoting the freedom of choice because of her struggles with cancer and cancer treatment.

Lang said she wished that she had understood her options when she was diagnosed with cancer. She said if she had known then what she knew now, she would not have had surgery or chemotherapy.

“The campaign highlights other medical options that patients can use. I am not fighting against chemotherapy, I just want people to know they have a choice,” said Lang.

She explained that she grew up in the entertainment world and had a passion for theatre and it is for this reason that she incorporated music into the Dance of the Butterfly events. She wants people to feel inspired through the arts.

Lang added that her partner, David Salomon, had been her rock when she was ill. She said he helped her through her journey and reminded her how to laugh.

People can visit the Forever Changed or Addi Lang Facebook pages for information on when and where these events will be held.
