King David girls show charitable side with fundraising for SPCA

LINKSFIELD – King David pupils raise a whopping R4 500 for local SPCA in charity drive.

Two pupils of King David Linksfield Junior School, Sophie Hodes and Jade Robinson, showed their charitable side through a recent fundraising effort in aid of their local SPCA.

The two eight-year-old girls sold raffle tickets to their fellow foundation phase pupils over a period of three weeks to raise funds for the Sandton SPCA.

The draw saw participants stand a chance to snag a special one-night stay at Gold Reef City Hotel, including breakfast and dinner, as well as theme park and movie tickets, all sponsored by Tsogo Sun.

At the end of the raffle, the two girls managed to raise an impressive R4 500 for the Sandton SPCA, which is due to be handed over to the organisation next week by the two girls.
