Emergency water for Gallo Manor
GALLO MANOR – A strike at the Zandfontein depot has left areas of Gallo Manor and Morningside Manor without water.
An ongoing strike at Johannesburg Water’s Zandfontein depot that began on 5 December, has caused water outages in parts of Gallo Manor and Morningside.
According to Ward 109 councillor Werner Smit, the strike is ongoing and no trucks have left the depot. “Water has been restored to Strathavon, but we are still having issues in Gallo Manor and Morningside Manor. I cannot say how long the strike will continue.” said Smit.

Emergency water tankers have been placed outside the Gallo Manor Police Station. Residents have been advised to use water sparingly.
Johannesburg Water has not yet given comment on the situation.
