Crawford Preparatory Sandton hosted a cultural festival with Crawford Lonehill, Fourways and Pretoria all participating.
The theme of the event was African street theatre, and it encompassed art, drama, dance and music.
For art, the children made their very own Ndebele dolls and they acted out African folk tales for drama, learnt different African dances and made their own musical instruments.

In the afternoon, each group showcased their work and all the children left having learnt a little more about African culture.
Mergan Govender, deputy principal at Crawford Preparatory Sandton said, “Art and cultural subjects are not practised in isolation but are an integral part of our pupils’ education.”
