Sandton police are requesting assistance in searching for a Zimbabwean foreign national woman suspected of theft and child neglect.
Spokesperson for the Sandton Police Station, Captain Bheki Xulu said on 14 December last year, a Buccleuch resident and her husband left their house in Stirling Avenue at about 7.30am for work and left their two-year-old son with their domestic worker known as Sakhile.
“The same day at about 5.30pm, they came home from work. The domestic helper was nowhere to be found and the two-year-old boy was alone at the house,” added Xulu.
“Items including a Samsung 32-inch TV, Samsung sound bar, clothing and linen to the value of R28 298 were missing.”
Xulu encourages anyone who may know the woman’s whereabouts to contact Warrant Officer Jacob Nkosi on 082 429 6633 or 011 722 4200.
