Heavy rains set to cause more havoc across Joburg
Severe thunderstorms are set to continue in Johannesburg as the South African Weather Service issues an orange level 5 warning for the City on December 12.
The South African Weather Service has issued an orange level 5 warning for the City of Johannesburg, with severe thunderstorms set to hit from 14:00 to 23:59 on December 12.
According to the national weather service, forecasts severe thunderstorms with possible strong damaging winds, large amounts of small hail and heavy downpours.

This follows week-long rains that wreaked havoc across the city, impacting service delivery and infrastructure.

Johannesburg Roads Agency encourages residents to be cautious and refrain from driving on flooded roads.
