Condolences pour in on social media as SA says goodbye to Zoleka Mandela
Zoleka Mandela was surrounded by friends and family when she passed away on September 25.
Author and global activist Zoleka Mandela has passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.
In a statement released by the Mandela family, Zoleka passed on the evening of September 25 after being hospitalised on September 18.
“She was admitted into hospital for ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain and spinal cord. Recent scans revealed significant disease progression including fibrosis in the lungs as well as several emboli.”
Many took to social media to extend their condolences to the family, friends and all those who loved Zoleka.
