Redhill’s 292 distinctions from 2023
Redhill matriculants set even higher bar than previous years’

Redhill School’s class of 2023 matriculants have set a new bar for the school, boasting a total of 292 distinctions from their learners.
The previous year’s matric learners attended a breakfast hosted by the school on January 18 in celebration of their collective achievement as a class.
Samuel Hertz, a top Redhill IEB learner, earned 11 distinctions in the previous school year and credits his success in matric to keeping up with activities outside of academics, such as sports and cultural activities.
“That acts as a way to get through because matric is kind of like this marathon year of just exams,” Hertz said.

Hertz advises learners to take subjects that they’re passionate about learning towards getting the results they desire for themselves at the end of their schooling journey.
“If you’re taking subjects that you enjoy, like music or drama, it makes the year a breeze and interesting,” said Hertz.
The Sandton Chronicle is proud of all the learners who wrote their matric exams in the previous school year. Celebrating with the matriculants across Sandton is our privilege and pleasure.

If you would like to share photographs of yourself or loved ones who just passed matric anywhere in Sandton, please send your photographs (with full names of whoever is pictured) to lebogang@caxton.co.za by Saturday, January 20 at 12:00.
