Publication celebrates Women of Wonder
Women of Wonder release second publication honouring award recipients.
Panache International, the brand that has pioneered in the domain of women empowerment through the Women of Wonder awards, launched the second edition of the Top 30 Women of Wonder Global Icons Publication in Sandton on January 27.

The publication celebrates 30 women who have won the Women of Wonder awards for being trailblazers in their industries, communities, and personal capacities as citizens of the global community.

Farzana Mayet, the founder of Panache, as well as the Women of Wonder and Men of Valor award brands, expressed her joy over the magazine publication. Mayet praised the publication as a way of commemorating the accomplishments of women who have been recipients of the Women of Wonder awards.

“This publication doesn’t only feature women in South Africa, but also women in Mauritius, Dubai, as well as the United Kingdom,” said Mayet. “It’s something amazing that inculcates the journey of each woman, and we are extremely proud of this.
” These women and their achievements will serve as an inspiration locally and internationally for generations to come. A memoir that also commemorates us celebrating awarding 1000 women Nationally and Internationally.

The Women of Wonder publication is distributed to previous winners to be kept on display at their practices, businesses, and hotels as well as takes prized possessions in Mauritius and the Reubens the Palace hotel in the UK.

“Our 2021 edition made its way into Mauritius in the Intercontinental Balaclava hotel,” Mayet said. “This year, we celebrate our tenth year in existence. The intention has always been to ensure that amazing women and their achievements are highlighted; what better way to fondly remember the achievements of 30 remarkable women?”.
The intimate gathering of previous winners and honoured guests began with a warm welcome from South African businesswoman, entrepreneur, and former WoW Award recipient Soomaya Ibrahim. This was followed by a poignant keynote address by businesswoman and philanthropist Norma Mngoma.

Soomaya Ibrahim spoke about how much having been identified as a Woman of Wonder means to her, and what it’s done for her career.
“The Women of Wonder Awards is very special to me because I was one of the first recipients in 2017/2018,” said Ibrahim, who describes herself as a jack-of-all-trades. “It’s opened up parts for me that I never anticipated. Coming from the industry of fashion, and arts, it was so important to me to be recognised for my work. That’s the platform that it gave me. I achieved the vision that I had by receiving the Women of Wonder awards.”
Many other recipients present were all elated and stated their extreme honour in being recognised on the Gala Dinner evening which in true Panache splendour hosted guests to a seven-course meal.
