Mr Heritage South Africa 2024’s mission in Sandton

Mr Heritage 2024 visited Sandton towards tapping into the networking market afforded by the most developed square mile in Africa.

Inga Mtshintsho has travelled across the country since winning the Mr Heritage South Africa 2024 pageant hosted in Gqeberha on March 3.

Mtshintsho’s awareness roadshow led his entourage to the Buy Local Summit and Expo hosted by the Sandton Convention Centre from March 25–26.

“What I enjoy the most about being in Sandton is the networking opportunities with people doing good things,” Mtshintsho said. “I’m hoping to meet persons who can influence how I may best promote Mr Heritage South Africa as a brand, and collaborate with people who are doing great things regarding the heritage of the Sandton area.”

Mtshintsho and his team were attending an information and networking opportunity hosted by the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) at the Maslow Hotel on March 26.

“I’ll be representing South Africa in the Philippines in April,” said Mtshintsho, contextualising that evening’s leg of their media and engagement tour. “We are here to meet people in official positions towards opening doors to collaborative sponsorship opportunities.”

In describing what the portfolio means to him, Mtshintsho reflected on what he aspired to contribute through his role as Mr Heritage South Africa in representing prospects for future generations of South Africans.

“The duties of Mr Heritage South Africa are centred around preserving heritage, culture, and promoting tourism. I encourage local nationals to invest in real estate. I believe that is how we can preserve our heritage.

“I also promote the idea of preserving our heritage sites because they’re very valuable to us. I’m more concerned about our traditional heritage sites, especially our local land as native South Africans.”

Mtshintsho concluded by reaffirming that his visit to Sandton was to meet people to work with in achieving great outcomes through his position.

“I would like to partner with brands that do great things; I support the idea of supporting local brands. I’m grateful to every person that’s supported us on this journey.”
