Laugh Africa Comedy Festival and Showmax got guests’ tongues wagging with The Showmax Roast of Minnie Dlamini on April 5 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
This event marked Minnie Dlamini’s debut in the world of comedy roasts. The anticipated night of humour and jeering was a success.
Dlamini said, “I ended off the year with my show Curated on Mzansi Magic, embracing humour about myself and societal happenings.
She added that this roast is about having fun and not taking yourself too seriously, and she also got an opportunity to dispel many of the rumours about her.
“This roast is fundamentally a celebration of my career, and there’s nothing I love more than a good laugh.”
Dlamini highlighted that the roast featured a star-studded lineup, which aimed to curate an experience that embodies this spirit.
