Road closures announced for Sandton’s Red Bull Showrun extravaganza
These are the routes that will be closed.

On October 6, the highly anticipated Red Bull Showrun takes over the streets with a breathtaking display of Formula 1 power.
Former F1 driver David Coulthard will electrify fans as he takes the iconic Red Bull Racing F1 car for a spin in the heart of Johannesburg’s financial hub.
Starting at 09:00, expect roaring engines, thrilling stunts, and a chance to witness the exhilarating F1 experience up close. But it’s not just the spectacle changing Sandton this weekend – several major roads have already been closed in preparation for the event.
The following roads will remain closed until Monday morning:
Katherine St (from West St to Rivonia Rd)
Pybus Rd (from Katherine St to Rivonia Rd)
5th St (from Katherine St to Rivonia Rd)
West St (from Katherine St to Rivonia Rd)
