Fire on Sandton City parking facade: No injuries, trading continues as usual

Parts of Sandton Drive were closed to allow for authorities to attend to the fire.

A fire broke out today (November 7) on the external facade signage of the level 8 parking area at Sandton City at approximately 11:45.
Emergency teams swiftly attended to the scene, and fortunately, there were no reported injuries. While minor damages are being assessed and the affected parking area has been cordoned off, Sandton City management emphasises that the mall remains open and trading as usual, ensuring the safety of shoppers, staff, and tenants.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
