A water leak persists on 9th Road in Kew.

A resident of Kew, on the Ward 81 community group chat, has raised concerns about a water leak on 9th Road, which has been flowing for over two weeks without resolution.

The leak, which appears to be coming from a damaged utility cover near the kerb, has left water streaming into the road, creating muddy conditions, and raising fears of further infrastructure damage.

Johannesburg Water has been notified about the issue, and, in response, spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala said: “We have noted your query and are liaising with the relevant depot to get more information for you. Johannesburg Water will provide a response within our standard turnaround time of 48 hours, depending on the complexity of the matter and the input required from relevant technical departments.”
