Redhill School launches strategy 2028, with focus on courage, innovation, and kindness

Redhill School enters 2026 with a new three-year strategy placing children, courage, and community at the heart of its future.

As schools across South Africa prepare for the year ahead, Redhill School has entered 2026 with a clear sense of direction.
It has officially launched strategy 2028, a three-year roadmap designed to guide growth, decision-making, and student development.

According to Joseph Gerassi, executive head of Redhill School, the strategy is about more than infrastructure or planning. “Strategy 2028 is our north star. It is a shared commitment to ensuring that every decision we make keeps the child at the centre. We are growing with purpose, not pace, and leading with courage rather than convenience.”

Set against a rapidly changing global landscape shaped by technology and complexity, Redhill’s approach emphasises empowerment over protection.

The school aims to equip students with the skills, resilience, and confidence needed to navigate an unpredictable future. As one staff member aptly described it: “We don’t wrap our students in cotton wool; we wrap them in courage.”

Several key milestones are expected to come to fruition during 2026. The summit precinct, including a new eat-in canteen, is set to open at the start of term 2, while the innovation hub (iHub) will provide a collaborative space for creativity and problem-solving. Redhill will also host the redefine education conference once again, welcoming educators and thought leaders from around the world.

The cultural calendar will be anchored by the return of the Redhill Arts Festival, #RedFest2026, taking place over the Youth Day weekend and continuing the school’s commitment to accessible, community-centred arts.

Alongside progress and innovation, Redhill is calling on its community to lead with kindness. “We are never neutral in how we show up. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, shapes the culture we leave behind.”

As Redhill turns the page on a new chapter, its vision for 2026 is clear: Purposeful growth, compassionate leadership, and education that prepares students, not just for success, but for life.
