Sandton Racquet Club builds the future of sport and wellness in Sandton

From fresh padel courts to ambitious expansion plans, the Sandton Racquet Club continues to champion sport, health, and unity, shaping the next generation of athletes in Sandton.

Over the past two years, Sandton Racquet Club has undergone a remarkable transformation. The highlight of 2025 is the completion of the renovation and upgrade of the club’s four padel courts, now open and ready for members and visitors to enjoy.

Club manager Drago Elez expressed gratitude to the Johannesburg Property Company (JPC) for granting permission to proceed with the renovation.

The next big project is already in the works. In 2026, the club plans to renovate its four tennis courts, redesigning them with multi-sport markings to accommodate a wide range of activities, including soccer academy, cricket academy, basketball and netball, martial arts, yoga, Pilates, and dance programmes.

Elez added that discussions are ongoing among the management team to bring these plans to life.

Members of the community are invited to attend seminars on healthy living, while the club plans to host holiday programmes for children and adults, especially those staying in Sandton or visiting from other provinces and overseas.

“We are here for the community,” concluded Elez. “Our doors are open every day. Everyone is welcome to join us, to play, learn, and grow together.”
