Minor injuries reported in Wendywood motor vehicle accident

JMPD officers attended a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bowling Avenue and South Road, with only minor injuries reported.

Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) officers attended a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Bowling Avenue and South Road in Wendywood this morning.

According to JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla, the collision involved three vehicles: a black Chery Tiggo, a white Suzuki Swift, and a white Nissan Qashqai.

“Fortunately, only minor injuries have been reported. The driver of the white Suzuki Swift was transported to Morningside Hospital for a medical check-up. We can confirm the driver has since been treated and released. No other injuries were reported from the occupants of the other two vehicles.”

He added that an accident report will be compiled by JMPD officers to determine the exact cause of the collision.
