From competitive spells to loud cheers on the sidelines, the Africa Cricket Cup continued at Fairways Primary School with a gripping match between Raptors Cricket Blue and Stallions Cricket.

The Africa Cricket Cup continued on February 8 at Fairways Primary School, delivering yet another exciting day of junior cricket as young players battled it out on the field.

The highlight of the day was a thrilling match between Raptors Cricket Blue and Stallions Cricket, where both teams showed strong skills, teamwork and determination.

The ongoing tournament brings together schools and cricket clubs from around Johannesburg, giving young cricketers a chance to test their abilities in a competitive but friendly environment.

Africa Cricket Cup founder and Cover Drive Cricket Academy head, Sydwell Ndlovu, said the tournament is about more than just winning games.

“The Africa Cricket Cup is not only about cricket. It’s about building character, confidence and friendships. When these kids step onto the field, they learn discipline, respect and how to handle pressure.”

He added that seeing the tournament grow from one venue to another shows its impact.

“We are proud to keep this tournament going because we can see the difference it makes. Some of the players who started here years ago are now role models to others,” he said.
