Sandton CPF creates a platform for local businesses to assist in preventing business crime

A new business community forum in Sandton aims to host monthly meetings to discuss risks, issues and other safety concerns faced by businesses in the area.

The Sandton Community Police Forum (CPF) invites businesses operating in the Sandton policing precinct to become members part of the new Sandton Business Community Forum.

This forum is intended to be a collaboration between businesses in Sandton, the Sandton CPF and Sandton police.

Co-chairing the forum will be the Station Commander of Sandton police, Brigadier Egen Moodley, and the Chairperson of the Sandton CPF, Nehsan Pillay.

Local businesses are to note that the requested representatives of this forum are the key decision-makers of businesses and not the security or risk managers.

The key objectives of the business forum are:

-> Establish a working relationship between businesses, the Sandton CPF and Sandton SAPS

-> Hosting monthly meetings to discuss risks, issues, focus areas and other safety issues faced by businesses, assets and stakeholders (date of meetings to be determined)

-> Build open channels of communication across all organizations to create awareness and actively minimize risks.

-> Underline the importance businesses play with regards to safety in Sandton.

-> Set out the guidelines and review plans of the forum.

-> Determine objectives and plans for the components of the forum

-> Introduce the Sandton Joint Operations Centre (JOC) between Sandton CPF and Sandton SAPS

-> Create channels of funding for crime prevention projects in Sandton.

-> Company registration number.
-> Company address in Sandton.
-> Company directors.
