A local-based food lover has penned down her cookbook to showcase her love language of food and to invite readers to embrace the joy of cooking and the importance of sharing meals with loved ones.

In a heartwarming celebration of family, love, and culinary artistry, Bibi Aysha Laher based in Morningside has released her self-published cookbook, Cooking with Bibi Aysha.

A tribute to her 84-year-old mother, Zubeida Laher, the book encapsulates a rich blend of time-honoured recipes and creative dishes, passed down through generations, reflecting the deep connection between food and heritage.

She added that her mother, known affectionately as mum, had been the heart of her culinary inspiration, with many of the recipes being cherished family heirlooms.

“The cookbook offers a delightful mix of easy-to-make, budget-friendly dishes that can be crafted with readily available ingredients.”
