Crawford International Sandton student spins to dance stardom
From honours with distinction to qualifying for the Disco World Championships, Mishayla Meyers' talent is making waves, both locally and internationally.
Crawford International Sandton Preparatory is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of their Grade 7 learner Mishayla Meyers.
Recently, Mishayla received her results from the South African Dance Teachers Association (SADTA) for 2024, and the outcome was nothing short of extraordinary.
According to Palesa Memela, the client experience officer at the school, Mishayla earned honours with distinction (96%) in her bronze bar medal exam, along with an exceptional 98% in freestyle and slow dance one dance tests, and an impressive 99% in disco dance.

“Mishayla’s dedication and hard work have also earned her Provincial and National Colours in both disco and disco slow dance, further solidifying her as a remarkable talent in the dance world.”
Memale added that Mishayla’s passion and perseverance culminated in a crowning achievement. “Mishayla has qualified to represent South Africa at the Disco World Championships in Poland.”
She concluded by stating that this global stage opportunity not only showcases Mishayla’s exceptional skill but could also lead to the prestigious honour of National Protea Colours, which are awarded to the country’s top athletes.
