14 000 strong at the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge at Wanderers Club
Over 250 companies participated in Johannesburg’s iconic J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, celebrating teamwork and wellness under the night sky.
More than 14 000 participants from more than 250 companies gathered at the Wanderers Club for the 20th edition of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge on March 13.
The event celebrated workplace wellness, team spirit, and friendly competition, as corporate teams competed in the 5.6km race.
This year’s race saw impressive performances.

Samuel Matsepe of Implats finished first in the men’s category in a time of 00:17:18, while Stella Marais Stapelberg of KPMG LLP was the fastest woman, completing the race in 00:21:52.

Large companies such as Investec, Rand Water, and Nedbank had strong participation, with Investec leading the pack.
The event also highlighted the ongoing support of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which has benefitted from donations since 2014.

These funds support more than 25 NGOs, impacting more than 40 000 lives and creating sustainable jobs.
The evening also featured appearances by notable Laureus South African ambassadors, including Akani Simbine, Deshun Deysel, Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp, and Corne Krige.
After the race, participants enjoyed a special performance by the local band Locnville.

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge continues its global journey, with the next stop in Singapore on April 10.
