Parents in Olorato murder case in custody: Mother’s tip-off allegedly enabled suspect’s escape
Police have detained the parents of a suspect linked to the Olorato murder case, with the mother accused of alerting her son about the police presence, allowing him to evade arrest.
The mother and father of one of the suspects who is on the run are in custody.
The father is identified as the owner of a Volkswagen Polo, while the mother is believed to have provided crucial information that facilitated her son’s escape.

According to National Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe, the mother tipped off her son that the police were at their residence in Inanda looking for him.

“This action by the mother enabled the son to evade arrest on Wednesday evening. When police arrived in Inanda, where he stays, he had already left.”
