Update: Third suspect named in murder case

The suspect list continues growing as a third man is now being searched for in connection to the murder of Olorato Mongale

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has identified a third suspect in the ongoing murder investigation of 30-year-old Olorato Mongale, whose murder sent shockwaves throughout the country.

Authorities have confirmed that Bongani Mthimkhulu, a friend of previously named suspect Philangenkosi Makhanya, is now wanted in connection with the case.

Mthimkhulu, who was last seen wearing a white top in a recently circulated photo, has been added to the list of suspects that police believe played a role in the tragic incident.

According to SAPS, the investigation has reached a: “Critical and sensitive stage.”

Brigadier Mxolisi Edwin Nama has thanked victims and witnesses who have shared valuable details about the suspects’ movements. “Their courage is helping us close in on those responsible,” he said.

Police have reiterated that the suspects are considered dangerous and are urging the public not to engage with them under any circumstances.
