With introspective lyrics, catchy hooks, and global appeal, Clement 'Moolanair' Mulenga is topping charts and breaking boundaries.

Based in the upscale suburb of Bryanston, Clement Mulenga, better known by his stage name Moolanair, is quickly emerging as one of Africa’s most compelling new voices in music.

A dynamic fusion of rap, pop, and genre-bending soundscapes has propelled him to the top of Dubai Daily’s: ‘Most Promising Up-and-Coming Music Artists Out of Africa’ list, placing him firmly on the global radar.

“I have always wanted to tell stories that reflect where I come from, but also connect with people everywhere,” said Moolanair. “Music is my bridge between the local and the global.”

Rooted in his South African identity, but inspired by global sounds, Moolanair’s music resonates deeply. “I grew up around so many different influences: kwaito, hip hop, pop, and I think my music reflects that blend. I do not believe in boxes.”

According to Moolanair, the ability to craft songs that are both emotionally rich and commercially appealing is his creative signature. “For me, every track is a chance to connect, to say something real.”

He elaborated that, as he prepares for his next major release, and possible international collaborations, he remains grounded. “I am proud to be part of a new generation of African artists who are making global waves without losing our roots.”
