Marsh Africa hands over 300 blankets to 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day

A local company showcases its kindness, patience, and the power of collaboration.

Marsh Africa has kept the spirit of Mandela Month alive well into August, donating 300 hand-knitted blankets to the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day initiative.
The blankets, crafted by the 67 Blankets KnitWits community, will form part of the Hugest Happiness Blanket. Each stitch represents kindness, patience, and the power of working together.

Speaking at the Sandton handover on August 8, Marsh Africa’s representative, Guy Royston, said, “These blankets are more than just warmth; they are symbols of compassion and hope. Even colleagues who had never knitted before learned from each other. It’s about people coming together and turning lunch breaks into something amazing.”

He added that the initiative aligns with Nelson Mandela’s call for service and unity.
