Music campaign hopes to give three forgotten dogs a Christmas miracle
After years of watching families walk past their kennels, three deserving dogs are finally getting their moment in the spotlight through a groundbreaking Kennel to the Crib music video campaign.
For Buster, Oscar, and Titan, life behind kennel gates has been long, lonely, and unfair.
These three remarkable dogs have watched countless puppies leave in the arms of excited families, while they remained behind, overlooked, misunderstood, or simply forgotten.
This festive season, Lucky Hustle and Woodrock Animal Rescue are rewriting that story, with Kennel to the Crib, a groundbreaking music video campaign giving these dogs the spotlight they’ve deserved for years.

Teaming up with Finetune Studios, the animal welfare and the two organisations launched #KenneltotheCrib, a creative-meets-purpose initiative showcasing the dogs through heartfelt real-life footage and upbeat visual elements that capture their spirit.

Lucky Hustle CEO Darren Morris said the music video takes viewers through the Woodrock Rescue Centre, from kennels and play yards to the quiet corners where hope still flickers.
“This is creativity with heart. Thanks to the support of Network X Group, these dogs are finally being heard. With a little festive magic, we believe they’ll make the journey from Kennel to the Crib, exactly where they deserve to be.”
Adding even more heart, some of South Africa’s top rappers; Wordz Tha Prince, Dibi, and Tyson Sybateli each penned reimagined lyrics inspired by one of the dogs.

Estelle Meldau, co-founder of Woodrock Animal Rescue, said: “This collaboration was designed to drive real-world adoptions by raising awareness about mature dogs who are often the last to be chosen, but the ones with the most love to give.”

Meet the dogs behind the campaign
• Buster – The six-toed sweetheart: A gentle and affectionate 4-year-old Rottweiler with a rare six-toed charm. Found on the roadside and overlooked ever since, Buster adores cuddles, treats, and smaller dogs. Despite his loving nature, he hasn’t had a single adoption success in more than a year.
• Oscar – The loyal heart healing from loss: A 5-year-old mixed breed who lost everything when his owner died by suicide. He arrived grieving and confused, but remains a warm, loyal soul ready to love again. Oscar is searching for a family who will help him start a new chapter.
• Titan – The lifesaver ready for his own life: A 4-year-old mixed breed who spent most of his life in a clinic as a blood donor, saving countless other dogs. Titan has never known the comfort of a real home, but after years of giving, he is finally ready to receive love of his own.
