Sandton entrepreneur to launch AI-powered brow app ahead of Ramadan
Ahead of Ramadan, Sandton brow entrepreneur Unaiza Suliman enters the beauty tech space with the launch of her AI-powered mobile app.
A Sandton-based beauty entrepreneur is preparing to merge faith and technology, with the upcoming launch of an artificial intelligence (AI) powered mobile application for brow services.
Founded by Unaiza Suliman, Halaal Brows has positioned itself around ethical beauty practices, rooted in Islamic values of modesty and integrity. With Ramadan approaching, Suliman said the timing of the app’s release carries deeper meaning. “The month of Ramadan is about reflection, renewal, and intention. For us, launching around this time aligns with our values. It is about building something that empowers women, while remaining true to our faith.”

Although the app is not yet officially available, it is expected to introduce a range of features designed to modernise brow care. At its core will be AI aimed at personalising the client experience. Users will be able to access AI-assisted brow recommendations tailored to their face shape and aesthetic goals. A predictive booking system is also expected to learn individual preferences over time, from preferred technicians to appointment frequency, helping to simplify scheduling.
Suliman explained that while the brand is inspired by Islamic principles, the platform itself is inclusive. “Halaal Brows is rooted in our religion, but it is not exclusive to Muslim women. Our faith teaches excellence and ethical conduct. Those values translate into professionalism, quality service, and respect for every client.”
She pointed out that the app is also set to include built-in masterclasses for aspiring and established brow technicians, along with an integrated online store offering curated brow products and tools. “By combining education, retail, and service bookings in one platform, the brand aims to create a structured digital ecosystem for the industry.”

Suliman elaborated that the concept reflects a broader shift within the beauty sector, where hyper-personalised digital experiences are becoming increasingly important. “In Islam, intention matters. We want this platform to create opportunities for women, whether they are clients or entrepreneurs. It’s about dignity, empowerment, and sustainability.”
