Visitors are strolling between stalls, stopping to sample food, while some have brought their dogs along, adding to the community feel of the event.

Market-goer Sarah Jacobs said the event offered the perfect way to spend a weekend. “It’s such a lovely atmosphere. You can shop, have something to eat, listen to music, and just relax under the trees. There’s something for everyone here.”

Among the vendors is artist Kim Paxton, whose artworks have been drawing attention from visitors. “I have done artwork all my life, but I’ve probably only been selling for the last five years.

“My current style is semi-abstract, very expressive, mostly landscapes and seascapes. That’s the part of the art that I enjoy the most. I get to express a little bit of my energy. It’s healing art. I have fun doing it.”
One of the standout pieces at her stall is a striking horse artwork, inspired by her lifelong love of horses. “I grew up on horses, so I love them. It started with charcoal sketch, and I didn’t want to paint over the charcoal, so I sealed it with a bit of ink and got a little bit abstract with spraying water and allowing the ink to drop.”
