Next Gen Padel League Season 26.2 ends with a thrilling final night
From emerging champions to seasoned title winners, the Next Gen Padel League's Season 26.2 finals showcased the talent, passion and competitive spirit driving the growth of padel.
The Next Gen Padel League’s Season 26.2 came to a thrilling conclusion on the evening of August 5, with players, supporters, and sponsors treated to one of the most competitive finals nights of the league.
Held three times each year, the Next Gen Padel League is structured across three divisions based on Playtomic team averages: Division 1 (1.5–2.5), Division 2 (2.5–3.5) and the Pro Division (3.5+).

Season 26.2, the second of three annual seasons, ran from early May through to the finals on August 5, featuring 32 teams and 64 players competing across the three divisions.
The evening saw each division producing high-quality padel and competitive matches.
In Division 2, Ryan Mitchell and Ross Canny emerged as champions after defeating Milan Appasamy and Matt Smit in a closely contested final.

Division 1 saw Michael Kotze and Hilal Pillay show an impressive performance to overcome Gino Williams and Ric Solomon and claim the title.
The highlight of the evening was the Pro Division final, where league newcomers Derek Alexander and George Baxevanis took on Next Gen Padel ambassadors and multiple league champions Kyle Olivier and Jared van Harn.
Olivier and Van Harn were too strong for their opponents and were named champions of the Pro Division of the Next Gen Padel League Season 26.2.
Next Gen general manager Peter Johnson said, “The competition was closer than ever. As a club, we want to give our players a great league all season long. And during the finals, the players gave us their all-in return, a spectacle enjoyed by everyone.
“I would also like to thank our Season 26.2 sponsors, Decathlon, Hotel Sky, 32Gi and Bryanston Sports Club. We will be launching the last season of the league in September, and we are looking forward to it.”
