Wanderers B continues rise with victory over Johannesburg South
A youthful Wanderers B Ladies team claimed a 2-1 win over Johannesburg South Hockey Club in an entertaining match at Wanderers Club.
Wanderers B Ladies claimed a deserved 2-1 victory over Johannesburg South Hockey Club at Wanderers Club on August 2.

Wanderers captain Teri Watson credited the team’s success to the commitment and development of its young players.
“Our team is a school of youngsters coming up into senior hockey and the girls are playing amazing. They’re growing every single match we play,” Watson said.
Although Johannesburg South fell short, captain Crystal Lee praised Wanderers’ performance and especially their goalkeeper. “Wanderers played an amazing game.

Hard luck to our team for not putting it in the back, but Wanderers managed to do it very well.
Kudos to their goalie for keeping us on our toes,” Lee said. She added that her side is looking forward to another opportunity to face Wanderers next season.
