Local learners experience a new setting to explore their constructing minds

Crawford International School provides a child with an academically progressive, innovative, and future-focused educational offering that is both locally and globally relevant.

In a spectacular display of creativity and teamwork, the young minds of Grade 00 at Crawford International Sandton Pre-Primary embarked on a captivating journey to explore the Unit of Inquiry (which forms part of the International Baccalaureate) ‘Where we are in time and place’.

According to Nadia Cooke, the school’s project coordinator, the lesson’s central idea was ‘Every home has a story’, where the learners found a delightful way to introduce their exploration by constructing an impressive fort of blankets, ‘Fort Double Nought’.

Cooke said, “The fort of blankets not only captured the attention of the learner’s classmates but started the conversation of what a home is, what it needs, how it’s built, and who needs a home, including animals and insects.”
