Local academy backs pro swimmer ahead of Fina champs

Aquanation Swimming Academy in Bramley Park hosts professional swimmer Clayton Jimmie ahead of Fina World Championships.

Aquanation Swimming Academy in Bramley Park recently hosted five-time African swimming champion, Clayton Jimmie.

The professional swimmer is currently raising funds to participate in the 16th Annual Fina World Swimming Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

Academy owner Altaaf Adam hosted a meet-and-greet and live interview on Instagram whereby Jimmie was able to share his passion for the sport.

Jimmie emphasised that swimming was not only an essential skill but it is a sport that opens many career opportunities.

Adam also shared a generous donation with Jimmie courtesy of the parents, students and friends of the academy.

Clayton Jimmie is hosted by Aquanation Swimming Academy owner Altaaf Adam.

“Aquanation Swimming Academy contributed R30 000 toward the BackaBuddy campaign which Clayton had initiated. As an academy, it is important to support our swimmers representing South Africa, as this proves to motivate young and upcoming swimmers.”

Jimmie also shared his commitment to partnering with Aquanation to host swim clinics, aiding with the growth of the academy and the development of its young up-and-coming swimmers at a grass-roots level.

“We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with Clayton as together we strive to achieve the same goals,” said Adam.
